ECM’s Exercise Training Forum in Rome, Italy

Thirty-two participants from fourteen client companies, three potential client companies and two observing companies attended ECM’s Forum in Rome on June 16th and 17th for exercise/training from 1300 hours on the 16th until 1200 hours on the 17th with refreshments and dinner on the 16th evening. Release of 2016 National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (PREP) Guidelines

As we have previously advised our clients, the implementation of the Salvage and Marine Firefighting (SMFF) Regulations (33 CFR 155 Subpart I) and the Nontank Vessel Response Plan Final Rule (33 CFR 155 Subpart J) added drill and exercise requirements for vessel response plan holders and covered vessels.  The USCG provides industry guidance for drills and exercises through the National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (PREP) Guidelines, which were last updated in 2002. ECM’s SMT TTX program is designed to fully comply with all federal and state requirements. Following the exercise, ECM provides our clients with all the documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with federal and state requirements.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) VGP annual report submission for 2015 Activities

The 2013 VESSEL GENERAL PERMIT (VGP) requires that vessel owners and operators submit an Annual Report documenting VGP activities for each calendar year for each vessel covered by the VGP. Annual Reports for 2015 activities must be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by 28 February 2016.
